Join us for our newly expanded TWO-DAY event this January on the UNCSA Campus

Day One: Thursday, Jan 12th

Join us starting at 9:00 am for a wide array of educational opportunities for those with interests in either theatre or film/video culminated with an exciting keynote address.

Class options:

  • ETC Ion Console Training (ETCP C/E Credit) 9 am-4 pm (There is a $100 charge for the ION Training Class to cover equipment expenses) (SOLD OUT - BUT STILL ACCEPTING NAMES FOR THE WAIT LIST)

Theatre Class Track:

  • 9am - 10am:  ETCP C/E Class - Electrics
  • 10 am - 12 pm: A Bunch of Boxes to Working Lights (Hands-On Tech Challenge)
  • 10 am - 12 pm:  Faculty Round Table - "Teaching Arts In North Carolina."
  • 12 pm - 1 pm:  Lunch on your own
  • 1 pm - 2 pm:  Telling the Story with Production
  • 2 pm - 3 pm: Designing Scenery on a Budget
  • 3 pm - 4 pm: How to Make A Portfolio and Resume For Beginners

Film/Video Class Track:

  • 9 am - 12 pm: SteadiCam Basics (2+ hours)
  • 12 pm - 1 pm:  Lunch on your own
  • 1 pm - 2:30 pm: How to Light Green Screen / Chroma Key
  • 3 pm - 4 pm: The Ins and Outs, Ups and Downs of Using Drones

Other Events:

  • UNC School of the Arts D&P Facility Tours (throughout the day)
  • 4:15 pm Keynote address from Luc Mayrand, Vice President, Creative Portfolio Executive, Hong Kong and Shanghai Disney Resorts

For theatre/film-video classes there is a nominal $20 fee to reserve your spot.


Day 2: Friday, Jan 13th

Beginning at 9AM 40+ entertainment technology manufacturers will be set up with the latest and greatest gear for you to see all in one place.

At 4:15 there will be a keynote talk entitled "A Conversation on the use of Color" by lighting designers Beverly Emmons and Mark Stanley

The day will be wrapped with the raffle prize drawings.
